Yes. In addition to always maintaining copies of your data, we automatically back up your updated data every day. It's stored on firewall protected, redundant servers so your data is safe from hardware and software failures, hackers and viruses. Because we update your records with every change, we cannot restore your file to a previous point in time.
Exact uses the same technology used by on-line banks and brokerages to transmit your private data over the internet.
If your internet connection at your current location is down you won't be able to access Exact. But, you can still access your books from any computer with an internet connection. It may be a hassle, but you can go to the local library or coffee shop that has Internet access available while your Internet connection is being restored.
Exact includes: Full use of the features of your particular version of Exact, automatic upgrades to your selected version at no extra cost and secure storage of your data. You can add optional features at any time for an additional monthly fee.
The start-up interview is a series of questions about your business and how you operate it. Your answers allow us to personalize Exact for the way you work. It takes about 5-10 minutes to complete the interview and get started entering your data.
We recommend a high-speed Internet connection, such as DSL or cable modem. You are welcome to try a slower connection, but it will take you a lot longer to get things done. The minimum system requirements can be found here:

Cost depends on the version and the length of your subscription, but in general the subscriptions are priced at a very low competitive cost.
You get any time, anywhere access from your internet-connected device, using Internet Explorer 10 (or higher), Chrome or Safari.
Exact runs in the cloud, and requires a device with a browser and a connection to the internet. The faster, the better.
To print checks, you need a MICR printer and the appropriate check stock. We'll help to define your needs and make recommendations.
Creating custom templates, for agency-specific forms and reports, requires Microsoft Word 2010 or higher.
